Humana to offer digital dental ID card

Starting in the summer of 2016, members of Baptist’s dental plan will be able to access their Humana dental cards digitally.

Digital dental cards have several advantages over hard copy cards:

  1. You don’t have to keep the paper version in your wallet.
  2. As soon as your account with Humana Dental is updated, your digital ID card is updated.
  3. You can email or fax a copy of the card to your providers or your family members.
  4. You can print copies to give to your providers.
  5. It reduces the production of plastic products.

Members can access their digital cards in two ways:

  1. You can access a PDF of your card or print it by going to MyHumana.com, signing in and clicking on the “Access ID Card” link. If you don’t have a password and user ID yet, simply follow the steps to set this up from Humana.com.
  2. You can view or fax your ID card from the MyHumana smartphone mobile app. To search for the app, visit your app store and type “MyHumana” into your search. Once you launch the app, enter your user ID and password to sign in. Once on the app, your Humana Dental ID card will appear on your phone under the tooth icon. Using the MyHumana app, you can email or fax a copy to providers or email a copy to family members.

If you still want to carry a paper version of your card, go to MyHumana.com and click on the “Access ID Card” link. You can print a copy of your card directly from there. For more information or assistance, call 1-800-233-4013.
