Baptist Memorial Health Care has named Bill Griffin its new senior vice president and chief financial officer, replacing Don Pounds, who will retire at the end of the year.
Griffin has been with Baptist for 23 years, serving as CFO for two Baptist Memorial hospitals, then as corporate system director of finance before being promoted to vice president of corporate finance in 2000.
“Bill has excelled in every position he has held at Baptist, and I am confident he will make an exceptional CFO for our organization,” said Jason Little, president and CEO of Baptist Memorial Health Care. “He is a highly skilled professional and a proven leader.”
Griffin received his Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Mississippi and began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and KPMG Peat Marwick. He is a certified public accountant, a chartered global management accountant, a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and an HFMA-certified health care financial professional.
