The Society for Human Resource Management’s Memphis chapter recently recognized four Baptist human resources team members during its yearly awards. About 200 people, including Baptist president and CEO Jason Little, attended the event.
Anne Thompson, a human resources representative at Baptist Memphis, won the Emerging Leader award; Baptist Memphis human resources manager Holly Turner was a finalist for the HR Practitioner of the Year award; Donna Robinson, Baptist’s director of talent acquisition, was a finalist in the Innovative Deployment of HR Technology category; and Baptist Memphis human resources representative Shelby Yardley won the Student of the Year award.
Nearly 900 professionals are members of SHRM-Memphis, and Vanessa S. Burns, Baptist’s corporate human resources director, is the group’s president. This year’s awards event was organized by Shana Scales, Baptist’s analyst-salary administration.
