Baptist Huntingdon fundraiser nets $5,000 for patients’ needs

Baptist Huntingdon’s Pastoral Care department recently raised $5,000 from a fundraising jewelry sale.

The hospital partnered with Masquerade Fundraising, the most recognized and requested hospital fundraising partner in the country. Masquerade sells jewelry and other accessories for $5; the Baptist Huntingdon sale earned $2,500. The Pastoral Care Specific Purpose Fund, administered by the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation, matched the money raised.

The $5,000 benefited the hospital’s Patient Needs Fund, which assists patients under extreme financial hardship and is used for basics like food and transportation.

“We exceeded our expectations in terms of fundraising, and a big thank you goes to all of you who helped us succeed,” says Brother Mike Osment, director of Pastoral Care for Baptist Huntingdon. “Finally, we need to give glory to God for His blessing of this effort.”
