Recently, Skipper Bondurant, administrator and CEO at Baptist Union City, recognized Anita Hayslett, registered respiratory therapist, as Service First Champion for the third quarter of fiscal year 2015.
Her nominator praised Anita, a 22-year Baptist team member, for acts of kindness that may seem small, but mean so much to her patients, families and fellow team members. On more than one occasion, she spent some of her free time washing, cutting and styling a patient’s hair. Soon after Baptist Union City went live with Baptist OneCare, she made nametags for team members’ WOW carts.
“As part of the nursing staff, I enjoy working with Anita and know that she will always do her best with the care of our patients,” her nominator wrote. “Service to patients and other employees—I think this is our Service First Champion.”
