Baptist Home Care and Hospice-Huntingdon named among 2015 Hospice Honors Elite

Baptist Home Care and Hospice-Huntingdon has been named a 2015 Hospice Honors recipient by Deyta, an industry leader in data-driven management. Hospice Honors recognizes hospices providing the highest level of satisfaction as measured from the caregiver’s point of view.

“This is the third year we are presenting this award to top performers, and it’s very rewarding to recognize their hard work and commitment to improving care,” said Kevin Porter, senior vice president of Deyta Analytics.

The recognition is determined by using the Deyta Family Evaluation of Hospice Care (Deyta FEHC) survey results from approximately 1,700 partnering hospices. Deyta identified Hospice Honors recipients by evaluating their performance on a set of 18 satisfaction indicator measures. Individual hospice performance scores were compared to a national average score calculated from Deyta’s FEHC database. Deyta holds a special recognition, Hospice Honors Elite, to honor hospices scoring above the Deyta national average on all 18 of the evaluated questions.

Crystal Allen, RN, director of Baptist Home Care and Hospice-Huntingdon, attributes the agency’s high scores to team members’ compassion and dedication to delivering high-quality care.

“We are very proud of our Baptist Home Care and Hospice team as we have been named among the top agencies in the United States for the past seven years based on quality by HomeCare Elite,” Crystal said.
