Avoid the back-to-school shopping jungle and go to Amazon

Back-to-school shopping on Amazon has several advantages: no long lines, items are usually in stock, and you can shop from the comfort of your home. This year, there’s another benefit: you can help others in need without spending an extra dime.

If you buy something at smile.amazon.com, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchase to the Baptist Foundation. All you need to do is go to smile.amazon.com, search for and choose “Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation” and shop at smile.amazon.com. (Please don’t shop while at work.) There’s no cost to you, and Baptist cannot see what you purchase.

Shopping for your kids on smile.amazon.com can help other kids, as well, including preemies at Baptist Women’s Hospital’s NICU and children who get counseling at the Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief following the death of a loved one. Earlier this year, grief center staff counseled Briarcrest High School students after a drunk driver killed two of their classmates.

Your dollars can also assist team members in crisis through the Employee Emergency Assistance Fund or help people affected by devastating natural disasters all over the world.
