Baptist North Mississippi unveils advanced cancer treatment tool

Baptist Cancer Center-North Mississippi recently held a ribbon cutting to unveil TrueBeam, a technology that expands radiotherapy treatment options for challenging cancer cases. TrueBeam delivers more flexible cancer treatments with pinpoint accuracy, precision, ease, and speed, reducing treatment times to minutes. With advanced imaging, TrueBeam allows clinicians to deliver treatment more accurately by enabling them to actually “see” the tumor they treat and target tumors with submillimeter accuracy, which helps protect nearby healthy tissue and critical organs. It can treat cancers in the lung, breast, abdomen, and head and neck, as well as other cancers that are treatable with radiotherapy.
