Baptist Golden Triangle earned an “A” patient safety rating in the Spring 2015 Hospital Safety Score and is one of only 182 hospitals in the country to earn straight A’s since the Leapfrog Group launched the safety rating program in 2012. It is also one of only two Mississippi hospitals to earn an A, and the only Mississippi hospital to earn straight A’s.
The safety score reflects how well the hospital protects patients from preventable medical errors, injuries and infections within the hospital and is calculated based on several core measures, including safe practice measures, surgical care improvement project measures and patient safety indicators.
“Our more than 1,000 employees and our physicians and other clinicians work very hard to provide a safe hospital environment for our patients,” said Paul Cade, administrator and CEO of Baptist Golden Triangle. “Our straight A designation shows that we have an excellent track record of keeping our patients safe, and that patient safety is a top priority for everyone here.”
