Baptist President and CEO Jason Little joined more than 30 Baptist team members in a City of Memphis Faith in Action project. The volunteers spent an hour painting over graffiti and picking up trash under the bridge where the Wolf River Greenway begins.
Known as Memphis’ largest clean up, Faith in Action is a weeklong effort organized by Memphis City Beautiful and the Office of Memphis Mayor A C Wharton. Teams of Memphians from businesses, organizations, churches and schools tackle large clean up projects throughout the city. More than 15,000 people have signed up for Faith in Action projects this year. Baptist is one of eight sponsors, and Ann Marie Wallace, system community outreach coordinator, serves on the steering committee.
