Jim Boswell, Baptist Medical Group’s CEO and vice president of physician services for Baptist Memorial Health Care, has been named chairman of the board of the American Medical Group Foundation, an affiliate of the American Medical Group Association that supports and disseminates scientifically sound and value-based research on better ways to deliver health care. He will serve a two-year term.
The AMGF supports AMGA members in their efforts to enhance population health and care through integrated delivery systems. The coordinated health care delivery model practiced by member groups is becoming the model of choice for quality, cost-efficient care.
“I am honored to be chosen to lead such an important organization,” Boswell said. “The AMGF supports work that has improved the health of patients across the country. AMGF is working hard to improve the quality of health care delivered to our patients with the Acclaim Award, our Best Practices Collaboratives and national quality initiatives, demonstrating how our delivery system is critical to both the quality of life and quality of care for millions of Americans.”
BMG is involved in the AMGF’s Measure Up/Pressure Down™, a three-year national campaign to improve high blood pressure prevention, detection, and control.
