MyChart earns more rave reviews

Since Baptist OneCare’s MyChart launched in January, more than 9,000 people have activated the tool, which gives patients controlled access to the same health record their physicians and clinicians use. Through MyChart, patients can view their test results, disease history, medications list, allergies and online statements. They also can schedule appointments, request medication refills, complete previsit paperwork/questionnaires, pay bills and securely message their physicians.

Joe Saupe, the 85-year-old father of Baptist Memphis neuroservices administrator Julie Horn, talks about how MyChart made his life easier. For more information or to sign up for MyChart, please visit http://www.baptistonline.org/onecare/.

How has Baptist OneCare MyChart made health care easier for you?

I got test results through MyChart rather than in the mail and I may have, in the past, had to request that they be sent. MyChart also makes it easy to email to and from the physician’s office. I have not yet asked for a prescription to be renewed through MyChart, but certainly will when I need a renewal. My physician’s nurse made it very easy to get signed up for MyChart.

Would you recommend MyChart to others?

Yes.

Would you like to say anything else about MyChart?

I wish other physicians whose practice includes Baptist Memorial could and would adopt MyChart. If any patient knows how to use a user name and password, then he or she can very easily use it.
