Baptistleader.org will offer the same features as printed version, plus more
Baptist’s employee newsletter, the Leader, has transitioned to an online-only publication; the current issue is the last one that will be printed.
All the content that has been featured in print editions will be available online—including classified ads, which colleagues will be able to submit themselves. The section will now be updated daily and can include photos and videos.
Articles, event calendars, and other content will be available online, as well, and are organized into categories. In addition, readers can share articles through Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites, and they can search the site for previous articles. Colleagues can access the site from anywhere on mobile devices, laptops or desktop computers.
“Transitioning to an online publication offers many benefits for our colleagues,” said Kimmie McNeil Vaulx, system director of Corporate Communications for Baptist. “The latest Baptist news, events and classified ads will be available to colleagues more quickly and conveniently. Also, this transition supports our ongoing efforts to be more environmentally friendly and reduce costs. We believe the additional benefits that come with the online version will increase readership and enhance the user’s experience.”
The online version of the Leader, which can be found at baptistleader.org, follows the same rules and standards as the printed version, including those for the classified ads.
