Baptist Booneville recently named Teresa Dawson chief nursing officer.
Dawson worked in cardiovascular services at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis from 2000 to 2013 and coordinated cardiovascular services at Baptist Booneville from 1991 to 1995.
“It is my pleasure to welcome Teresa Dawson back to Baptist Booneville,” said James Grantham, administrator and chief executive officer for Baptist Booneville. “Her work with the Baptist Heart Institute, her efforts achieving quality initiatives and her institutional knowledge of Baptist Booneville will make her a valuable addition to our team and champion for patients.”
Dawson served as heart registry manager for Baptist Memphis from 2000 to 2002 and helped develop the plan for the Baptist Heart Institute, which opened in September 2001. She was promoted to director of the Baptist Heart Institute in 2002, a position she held until accepting the CNO position at Baptist Booneville. From 2005 to 2012, she also served as cardiovascular nursing services director, cardiovascular service line administrator and interim surgical service line director. In December 2012, she was named executive director of transplant services.
