Baptist Health Sciences University recently welcomed Dr. Loredana Haeger as provost and vice president of academic and student affairs.
Haeger has a Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy and a Master of Science in rehabilitation science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She has many years of academic administrative experience, serving as associate director of the school of physical and occupational therapy at McGill University; founding chair of the occupational therapy department at Florida Gulf Coast University; and academic clinical coordinator in the school of physical and occupational therapy at McGill University. She most recently served as the dean of the school of health sciences at Salt Lake Community College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Haeger to the Baptist Health Sciences University,” said Dr. Betty Sue McGarvey, president of Baptist University. “Her experience in the health care academic field will serve our school well.”
Haeger’s interest in international education has evolved from her personal and professional experiences while living, studying and teaching abroad in countries such as Italy, Canada, Zimbabwe and the United States.
