Baptist Union City honors lifesaving colleagues

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City recently recognized several of its colleagues for being committed to preventing infections. For more than five years, the hospital has been without a central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) event. CLABSI can be prevented through proper insertion techniques and management of the central line. The hospital has a “Thanks for Being a Lifesaver” awareness campaign that educates colleagues about proper hand hygiene, equipment management, and communication with patients. “At Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, we are committed to providing a safe environment for our patients,” said Skipper Bondurant, administrator and CEO.
