Southern Heritage Classic Contest looks for Team with the Most Heart

Baptist is a proud sponsor of the Southern Heritage Classic, an annual three-day event that features a football game between Jackson State University and Tennessee State University. As part of that sponsorship, Baptist and the American Heart Association are partnering to offer the “Who Has the Most Heart” challenge, where fans of both teams compete to see who can take control of their health by monitoring their blood pressure and other key health indicators. The winning school will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship. Learn more about the challenge and get a VIP tour of the new Baptist Operation Outreach mobile health care clinic, a partnership between Baptist and Christ Community Health Services.

Baptist will have a booth at the tailgating event on Saturday, Sept. 14. Baptist colleagues must wear their badges to come inside the tent. Volunteers are needed to help with setup, cleanup, greeting and grilling. Anyone interested in volunteering can call Jessica Warren at 901-227-3521 or e-mail jessica.warren@bmhcc.org. A mandatory volunteer orientation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 6-7 p.m. in the Human Resources training room in the Corporate building. Take the six-month challenge; anyone can participate!
