Baptist Memphis recognizes nurse who perform above and beyond expectations

Jennifer Kitskowski, head nurse in the myleosuppression intensive care unit, was recognized by a patient’s daughter for her dedication and compassion during the patient’s stay at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.

“Everything happened very fast,” wrote the nominator. “Jennifer was so compassionate, knowledgeable and a friend to us. She explained the chemotherapy and made my mother feel like a queen, even though Mom was afraid and ill.”

The nominator wrote that while all the nurses and staff were wonderful, Kitkowski deserved to be recognized.

“We are very proud of Jennifer’s caring dedication toward her patients and their families,” said Becky Hunter, chief nursing officer at Baptist Memphis. “She has set a good example for her colleagues.”
