Baptist enhances online bill pay service

Baptist recently added six new features to its online bill pay service, Baptist ePay. The new elements are designed to make the service more convenient for patients, while secure Internet technology protects their personal and financial information. The system never connects to medical records, so patients’ health information is also protected. Once patients complete a one-time registration and create an account, their eStatement will be ready to review. They can even add new Baptist Memorial Hospital accounts. Credit card payments made online are processed the same day for quicker account settlement, and there is no extra charge to pay hospital bills online.

The new services are:

  • Future Pay
    Schedule a future payment and have it auto-drafted from the account of their choice.
  • Paperless Billing
    Opt to receive statements electronically instead of a paper bill.
  • Mobile Alerts and Payments
    Sign up to receive mobile text alerts when a new statement is ready, and make a payment from a mobile phone. Both options require a smart phone.
  • Enhanced Messaging
    Send and receive secure messages to and from the customer service team.
  • ACH Payments
    Use checking or other bank accounts to make payments – in addition to credit or debit card options.
  • Enhanced Guest Pay
    Make a secure, one-time payment quickly without going through the registration process, and store basic data for future use.
