On June 21, NEA Baptist Clinic opened the doors of NEA Baptist Clinic Urology with a formal ribbon cutting. Previously known as Arkansas Urology Clinic, the physician practice welcomed John Allen, M.D., and Michael Suminski, M.D., who began practicing with NEA Baptist Clinic Urology in April.
Urology is one of many new specialties added to the growing list offered at NEA Baptist Clinic.
Allen specializes in urologic cancers and incontinence, while Suminski specializes in kidney stones.
“We are proud to add urology to the medical specialties of NEA Baptist Clinic,” says Darrell King, CEO of NEA Baptist Clinic. “This addition allows us to better service the varying needs of our patients. Arkansas Urology Clinic has had a strong presence in Jonesboro with a solid practice. We welcome Dr. John Allen and Dr. Michael Suminski.”
Allen received his Bachelor of Science degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Neb., and went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. He also completed a surgical residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and a residency in urology at Louisiana State University/Ochsner Health System in New Orleans.

After that, he completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Oklahoma University Teaching Hospitals and a residency at the Oklahoma University Department of Urology. He is a member of the American Board of Urology.
