At a reception on Thursday, February 7, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City colleagues celebrated winning the 2012 Press Ganey Summit Award. The Summit Award recognizes top-performing facilities that sustain the highest levels of patient satisfaction performance for three consecutive years. The Press Ganey Summit Award is one of the health care industry’s most coveted symbols of achievement. Baptist Union City is one of 114 organizations to receive this prestigious honor in 2012, and one of only 13 to receive it for achieving and sustaining excellence in patient satisfaction. Press Ganey partners with more than 10,000 health care facilities, including more than half of all U.S. hospitals, to measure and improve the patient experience.
“We are proud to partner with Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey. “Achieving this level of excellence in patient satisfaction reflects the organization’s commitment to delivering outstanding service and quality. Baptist Union City’s efforts benefit patients and will lead to improved patient experiences.”
According to Skipper Bondurant, administrator and CEO at BMH-UC, the award represents an important recognition of the hospital’s efforts by an industry leader. “Providing excellent service is the goal of every colleague every day at Baptist Union City,” said Bondurant.
