In April 2012, 100 trees were planted at the entrance of Shelby Farms Park–a gift from Baptist Memorial Health Care to celebrate our Centennial, 100 trees for 100 years of care. On September 27, 2012, the Baptist family grabbed shovels, gardening gloves, rakes and pitchforks to mulch those 100 trees, helping Baptist’s gifts to grow well beyond a century! Shelby County Mayor Mark H. Luttrell, dropped by to thank Baptist and Shelby Farms Park Conservancy for our joint efforts to build a healthier Shelby County.
