Baptist Union County welcomes new physician

Baptist Union County recently announced the addition of Rowland M. Roberson, M.D., to its staff. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in joint replacements.

Roberson completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Mississippi and went on to attend medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine—completing his residency in orthopedics while there. Roberson concluded his fellowship at the Southern Joint Replacement Institute at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

He is also a former college athlete with long ties to North Mississippi.

“Dr. Roberson is a well-rounded addition to our growing roster of physicians,” said Walter Grace, CEO and administrator of Baptist Union County. “We are proud to be a hospital with a hometown feel and an impressive menu of services, including an increasing number of specialty surgeries. It’s important that our community members have access to top-notch health care without having to leave the convenience and familiarity of home,” said Grace.
