January preaching series features Rev. Chuck Herring

Join us Jan. 18 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. for the Jimmy Terry Preaching Series featuring Dr. Chuck Herring, senior pastor at Collierville First Baptist Church. The preaching series is open to anyone in our hospitals—team members, physicians, patients and visitors—and happens at Garrett Auditorium on the Baptist Memphis campus.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Herring has been preaching to congregations in Mississippi, Louisiana and now Tennessee. He holds a Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He joined Collierville First Baptist in 2003, following pastoral positions at New Hope Baptist Church in Fulsome, Louisiana; Mullins Station Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee; and First Baptist Church in Richland, Mississippi.

The preaching series honors the late Rev. Jimmy Terry, who served on Baptist’s System Board of Trustees for 25 years and founded Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church and Tabernacle Christian School in Clarksville, Tennessee. On the third Thursday of each month, a speaker delivers a Gospel message which is broadcast to all Baptist Memorial hospitals.
